Our Aims

• Provide free support to adults over 18, who are currently unemployed. 
• Assist with CV preparation, letters of application, interview skills, career planning, self-employment, and Universal Credit applications. 
• Access to appropriate on-line training and qualifications (Cost dependant)
• Provide latest vacancy listings from Job Centre, local online lists and up-to-date copies of local weekly newspapers. 
• Free access to the internet for job searches and Job Centre updates
• Offer an opportunity for clients to relax over a free tea or coffee; weekly access to Universal Fitness at a discounted cost.

• We are not a recruitment consultancy
• We are staffed by volunteers, with a wide variety of experiences and skills
• Our services are normally available to clients for a maximum of 12 visits from the first meeting, on a first come / first served basis, and depending on  volunteer availability

Each week, Toolbar offers:

• Support from a Toolbar volunteer
• Access to all services / support between 10.30 am & 12 noon every Monday (except Bank Holidays)
• Free tea and/or coffee
